Bombay Sapphire Holiday Glasses

I assume most everyone has heard of and probably tried Bombay Sapphire Gin. It is a wonderful gin and one of my favorites. Most of you probably also know that every year around the holidays they package a bottle of Bombay with a designer cocktail glass.
I have been collecting Bombay Sapphire Holiday glasses for 8 years now. I also have a bunch of other Bombay stuff.
Recently I made another purchase of a Bombay glass (to fill a hole) and the seller asked if I had a definitive list of the glasses and the dates they came out. Well I did not. So I spent the next two days digging around Google trying to find some answers. I had totally no luck. Oh maybe I did confirm a couple of dates but overall no.

So now I'm reaching out to the Cocktail Community to try and get some answers.

Below I have pictured what I have and what I know. It starts with, what I'm told, is the original by Ulla Darni in 1994 and the date is on the bottom so I'm pretty sure that is correct. The Richard Jolie 1996 I believe to be correct. The Patricia Heller 1999 is also marked and is probably wright. I also believe that the 2002 was repeated in 2003. I am confidant in the 2006 & 2007 glasses. (Even I can remember buying those). The 2007 Promo was handed out at Tales in 2007. The original of that shape 2002-2003 did not have Bombay Sapphire printed on the stem. Also you will notice I'm missing 2001. This why I need help. I'm not at all Positive about the dates of the earlier glasses. If you click on the picture it will give you an enlarged version that much more readable.
So if you can help please email me martiniworld1@verizon.net or my contact in blogger.

Here are a couple of other pics of my Bombay collection.

So again I ask if can be of any help please let me know and I will disseminate this info across the web to other collectors.

So in advance...Thanks for all of your help.

Thank you so much for your blog. I too collect Bombay Sapphire Martini Glasses, in fact I collect all kinds of Martini glasses, but started with Bombay. I too have never been able to determine what year was what until I found your site. Again many thanks. I am missing 1997. Other than that, I have all that you have, except the promo one for 2007.

Cheers.

flucesI also collect these glasses since 1999 and have tried to research the years. I have come up with a list from 1999 to 2007, but with different years than the ones you listed. I know for sure the 1994 and 1996 and 2006 & 2007 are correct. I used eBay for my source. Here is my info. The marble stem is 1999, the blue ball is 2000 not 1998, the arches 2001 not 1995, the pyramid stem is okay 2002, the blue saucers on the stem are 2003 not 2000, the round bottom is 2004 not 2005, and the square bottom is 2005 not 2004. Both 2006 & 2007 are correct.
I have no idea on 1995, 1997 and 1998. One had a blue ball and blue or green stem.
More cheers.

I agree with the last "anonymous" about the correct years. I have the same info. Hope this helps. Thanks for the info though. This is more than I've been able to find online as well!

Love your photos--I emailed Bombay a couple of years ago for a list, and they weren't any help. As your posting is over a year old, I don't know if you'll catch this comment or not, but I'm wondering if you know if there's a glass this year. I haven't been able to find one anywhere, including the last couple of places where I've found them most recently.

I too am wondering if there is a 2009 glass. I found a site where they had the competition and there was actually a "winner" but haven't see a gift pack at all. Any help you can provide is appreciated.

Has anyone seen a 2009 gift-pack glass? All I have seen is a gift-pack with olive spoon and glass toothpicks.

Well I am late to the game and broke one that I loved that had the heavy faceted blue stem. FORGOT to get this year's. How does one do that anyway? Where do you find them? Thanks, Sandra in NC

In 2009, there were no martini glasses made available by Bombay. The only gift set available was the olive spoon and toothpicks. The 2008 glass had the spiral etching on the glass and the stem. If there is a glass for 2010, it should be coming out soon.

I have seen a couple places that say they have the 2010 gift packages but I haven't been able to find any in my area (Iowa). Has anyone been able to find them in stores?

I bought the 2010 gift pack at my local liquor store last night (Dallas, TX). The 2010 Coupe Martini glasses are showing up on eBay.

Hi, does anyone have one 1999 BOMBAY SAPPHIRE PATRICIA HELLER MARTINI GLASS that I could purchase from them. I am only looking for one. My uncle has been drinking Bombay Sapphire for years. He loves drinking it out of the "glass with the marbles". It was recently broken, and he was devastated. I have searched high and low on ebay, craigslist, and just about everywhere. If anyone knows where I might be able to find one of these glasses I would greatly appreciate it.

Please contact me at Nicole.A.Funatsu@gmail.com

Thank you,
Nikki
